Do you ship Hazardous Goods?

Yes, we can! This depends on what it is exactly.
Please inquire more by reaching out to support@ilogisticsusa.com.

But first what is Hazmat? A hazardous material is a substance that is “capable of posing an unreasonable risk to health, safety, and property when transported in commerce under the federal hazardous materials transportation law” according to the Secretary of Transportation.

What are examples of dangerous/haz goods?

A dangerous good (also known as hazardous material or hazmat) is any substance or material that is capable of posing an unreasonable risk to health, safety, and property when transported in commerce. Identifying dangerous goods is the first step to reduce the risks posed by the product with proper packaging, communication, handling, and stowage.

  • compressed oxygen or other gases.
  • explosives.
  • flammable liquids including alcohol and flammable solids, such as nitrocellulose. (fragrance etc)
  • infectious substances.
  • oxidising substances, such as ammonium dichromate or pool chlorine.
  • radioactive materials.

Steps to ship hazmat products:

  1. Please provide your MSDS file as part of our Receiving Guidelines. A Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) is a document that contains information on the potential hazards (health, fire, reactivity, and environmental) and how to work safely with the chemical product. The MSDS sheet should be provided by your vendor.
  2. Once we receive your MSDS file we will analyze the type of product and we will let you know if you are considering hazmat shipping or not.
  3. If applicable for hazmat shipping our support team will set up your account accordingly. Please note additional fees may apply per order and will be added due to labeling regulations.

For shipping international Dangerous Goods:

  • We are now distinguishing Haz shipments between excepted & limited quantity shipments.
  • Any shipment with nail polish and perfume (less than 30mL) can ship via DHL as an excepted quantity as long as the destination country allows excepted quantities. This is good news because these shipments do not require any additional hazardous declaration paperwork, meaning less fees all round.
